1976 Lancia Beta Montecarlo – Rare Italian Mid-Engine Coupé

This vehicle is visible in the Eau de Pétrole showroom.

The Lancia Beta Montecarlo was unveiled in 1975 as Lancia’s striking mid-engine sports coupé, designed by Pininfarina and engineered with the flair and innovation that defined the marque. With its wedge-shaped styling, sharp proportions, and superb handling balance, the Montecarlo was not only a road car but also the foundation for Lancia’s motorsport success — serving as the basis for the Group 5 Montecarlo Turbo that went on to dominate endurance racing.
This 1976 example captures the essence of 1970s Italian design and remains a rare and exciting collector’s item today.
