Lancia Appia Furgoncino

The Lancia Appia Furgoncino is a commercial variant of the Lancia Appia, an Italian compact car produced by Lancia from 1953 to 1963. The Furgoncino is essentially a van version of the Appia, designed for commercial and utility purposes.

The Furgoncino had a practical and boxy design to maximize cargo space. It typically featured a solid-panel rear end suitable for carrying goods.

The Appia Furgoncino shared its engine options with the standard Appia models. The early Appias were equipped with a 1.1-liter V4 engine, which was later increased to 1.1 and 1.2 liters in subsequent models.

The Appia Furgoncino came with a manual transmission, usually a 5-speed gearbox.

The primary purpose of the Furgoncino was for commercial use, making deliveries, and transporting goods. Its design catered to the needs of businesses and tradesmen.

The production of the Lancia Appia Furgoncino continued until the early 1960s. As with many classic cars, the exact number of units produced can vary, and it's not as well-documented as more mainstream vehicles.

Due to its commercial nature, the Lancia Appia Furgoncino might not be as well-known as some other classic cars. However, it can be of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of vintage commercial vehicles.

This particular car was used in the last years as an „Assistenza“ car in the Mille Miglia and other events. It has been well restored and has had some mechanical work done recently. Only a view delivery vans are still in existence. Those were working cars and were driven until they broke. This is one of only a few still in existence.

Keep in mind that specific details about individual vehicles, such as their current condition, availability, or specific production numbers, may require further research or consultation with vintage car experts and collectors.
